Found it: was a Leptotyphlops humilis

I guess my post got deleted or something. I searched the internet on someone's recommendation, and the snake I found in Arizona looks to be a Western Blind Snake (Leptotyphlops humilis). It was about 8 inches, round, pink, no eyes, and small mouth (only real feature on the head), and felt pretty dry. I could have missed the eye remenants as scales.
