:I live in Gulfport, MS and I found a baby snake on my front porch today. The snake is grey colored with black splothes that carry over to his belly. His eyes are round shaped and eventhough he does not have a rattle, he shakes his tail extremely fast when spooked. Can someone identify him form me?

My guess would be a juvenile black ratsnake (E.o. obsoleta). Their coloration is similar to what you described when they're babies but look different as adults. Check out the link below
