Greg, thanks for responding so quickly. I saw the face/mouth. The snout was not broad & turned up on the end as it is with a hognose snake. I checked a variety of snake photos on the Web. The tip of the snout of this snake was rather slender/not pointed, but it tapered. Thanks for the response. Any other ideas for me? Is the Eastern Massasauga completely ruled out based on their two known habitats?
