Ajolote?????????????

Anyone ver heard of an Ajolote. I found this lizard in a book at my local library but, it's from the sixties and I haven't been able to find oany info on this lizard and unfortunately all that was in the book was pictures of it and a description. No care facts. It looks like a gllas lizard or a white worm except that they have 2 mole like arms in the front and a face. It says they're so transluscent that u can sometimes see the blood vessels.
