::Does anyone know the effects of a bite from an adder/northen viper?

:Massive swelling and pain, extensive bruising, in more serious cases early shock, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Necrosis is very rare. Death is exceptional, if it occurs, then usually due to intractable late-onset shock.

:Although approx. 50% of bites are fairly inconsequential, 20-25% give rise to serious concern and a number of herpers have found themselves caught out by just how unpleasant and serious a bite can be. These snakes should not be trifled with.
