There is no need to change anything!
The idea is to add to it. For example: at our show for Dr. Cash Elementary I took my Scorpions, Patrick took his Sugar Glider, Lynn you brought your, well, children. The point is, when we invite someone who owns a Parrot or a Pot-Bellied Pig, or a Tarantula to one of our meetings, we should welcome them! It is these people, with this common interest that binds the threads of those of us who don't quite fit in to the Dog/Cat/Fish/Bird world of regular "pet owners". These are the people who are apt to be be most likely to open their interests into Herps as another hobby. A target market if you will.
After all, Birds of a feather, flock together. Have they scales, exoskeletons, prehensile digits, or.... you get the picture?
