Well, the problem here is that Mr. Ritchey is actually one of the better operators out there. He isn't using razor blades and the fridge for anesthesia. But his setup and tools are still inadequate and unprofessional.

I have much less of a problem with venomoids done under sterile operating conditions by a licensed veterinarian with proper pain medication for the purposes of exhibit and education. But that really isn't what is happening out there today. Venomoids are being made en masse by non veterinarians for the "gee that's cool" market, and I do have problems with that for a number of different reasons which I have already discussed at length.
