i think it should totally be left to the owner...well i guess ultimatley it is...but people declaw cats all the time and have certain dogs tails cut off...this is just another way of conforming animals to be more conducive to human interaction...people will argue this for ages...but fact of the matter is...

as long as there are people keeping venomous reptiles...there will be a market for venomoids...as long as there is a market for venomoids...people will perform the surgery...and since there is money in it people who arent trained in proper procedure will butcher animals so that many animals will die because of ones stupidity...

but whatever man wants...man gets...
