Well, I'm kind of on the same page as that, which is why I funnel non-relocatable urban rescue snakes into venom labs and zoos. Hopefully this decreases the incidence of collection from the wild and helps fill demand with snakes which can no longer be viable in the wild population anyway.
However I think that it is important to keep to a good ethical standard and avoid bringing money and profit into the decision whether or not an animal is relocatable. Obviously if you profit from selling the animal, you have a motive not to relocate. If you do not profit, you are more likely to consider a relocation rescue the best option when it is possible.
