"We are interested in selling cottonmouths(wild caught)to individuals or labs. Copperheads are also a possibility."
>>> Is it really that simple? The interest in making a buck off little tidbits of nature that are free for the taking seems like a very obvious attraction. How much are you planning on making? Is it legal to buy, sell, or trade native wildlife in your state? Are there bag limits? What is your overhead for such a business. Do you have a real job too?
"Anyone interested?"
>>> Unfortunately, there are plenty of folks out there who will buy whatever you offer. The demand is there.
" Also need info on shipping venomous snakes and federal regulations as well as my state regulations."
>>> For current shipping regulations, contact a shipping company. For current state regulations, contact your state fish and wildlife agency. Nobody here knows what state you are in.
" Know anyone who buys venom?"
>>>. Do you have the facilities to freeze and preserve the venom? I know of no facility that will buy raw, unpreserved venom from nobodies. Otheerwise this would be a very popular endeavor.
" Anyone know what regulations there are about milking snakes and selling the venom?"
>>> Nope.
" Any info is appreciated. Gigi"
>>> Your questions are fine. Your intent is questionable. Many people who are interested in venomous snakes are also interested in preserving natural populations, and are against the exploitation of these snakes for personal gain and profit. I would recommend you contact someone involved with the rattlesnake roudups in your area. They will most likely have all of the info you are looking for.
