Thanks for the kind words, Richard. Rest assured that nothing would please me more than posting an announcement here celebrating reproductive success w/ this species; however, it will not be this year. My female laid 13 infertile eggs. She obviously has outstanding reproductive potential, but I question the maturity level of the male from the beginning. He was also collected a year ago in South Africa this month, and quite possibly couldn't have fully adjusted to the new environment. Then again, who knows?
Thanks again for the paper. I enjoyed reading it.
Cheers,
Sean P.
At first thanks guys for your nice comments. Sean I hoped this could help you a bit for your futher breeding with Dendroaspis polylepis and I hope o see a post from you in the futher about breeding your mambas.
: Gerg thanks for the offer to help making my papers sound more English than they do at this moment.
: For all the others on the forum. I hope to read more posts like this, especially because we need to learn from each other. Every one has different expierences with many different species of venomous snakes. So to all you guys take some of your time and write about how you keep or breed your snakes this will be appreciated by all.
: With Best Regards,
: Richard Mastenbroek (Mr Taipan)
