I see a snake!

I live in Central Florida, and this morning, beside my pool, I saw a small (18 inches or so) snake whose striped pattern began at the tip of his head and went black, yellow, black then the pattern went black-red-black separated by small yellow bands. Is this snake something to worry about? Should I just send him back out to the yard?
