: : : : : : :
: : : : : : : can you tell me the names of the ten most
: : : : : : : poisonous snakes in the world?

: : : : : :(not in order)

: : : : African boomslang and the African vine snake
: : : : are responsible for human fatalities but most use venom to quiet struggling prey. Also, sea snakes,Australian tiger snake and king cobra possess venom.

: : : The ten most venomous snakes are all found in Australia with the FIERCE SNAKE bieng the most deadliest venom-wise. But I think the real issue is what snakes kill the most people and are the most aggresive. From what I've heard the Fierce snake rarely comes into contact with humans so it hasn't killed any to my knowledge. Now, look at the Black Mamba of Africa and the Taipan of Australia and if you consider that both will not back down from a human and will actually go for one and that they both posses great speeds and very dadly venom(Taipan is either three or four on the list of deadly snakes) I think that they are probably two of the deadliest snakes in the world, but that's just my opinion:)

: ::::::::::: Some of the below are as bad or worst than some of the Austrailian snakes listed...Try these on for REALLY HOT and dangerous snakes: [Not in order!]
: 1. Russels Viper DEADLY!
: 3. Echis Carinatus (Saw Scale Viper)
: 3. Naja Melanoleuca (Forrest Cobra) One of the hardest snakes to handle! (Apart from Black mambas and Coastal Taipans!)
: 4. Bothrops atrox (Fer de Lance) VERY HARD TO HANDLE WHEN LARGE!
: 5. Lachesis Muta (Bushmaster)
: 6. King Cobra! (More venom than anything and deadly if they tag you! You'd need 50 + vials of anti-venom as some have needed to survive!)
: 7. Cascavel (Crotalis D. Terrificus) Wow! Badddd
: when over 6 feet!
: 8. Really should be with the first 2 or 3 most dangerous snakes in the world, Dendroaspis Polylepis! HOT, FAST, UNPREDICTABLE! DEADLY!
: 9. Bitis Gabonica (Gaboon Viper) Although not easy to make strike, these have such large fangs (2" - 2 1/2" fangs and Large amounts of venom, these will definitely kill you if they get you!)
: Never forget that any of the above can and will ABSOLUTELY, POSITIVELY kill you without immediate, aggressive, anti-venom treatment!
: 10. Bitis airetans (Puff Adder) This snake is considered by Douglas Muller of South Africa as the most dangerous in Africa, he handles mambas like corn snakes but is scared of puffs! I can see why, they are so fast, large ones are so full of venom! Fangs are large... Anyway, all the above is my humble 2 cents worth... Hopefully the above will help someone in some manner...
