I certainly would rather have a species specific antivenom if it was available, but that is a hard order to fill for the average keeper in the U.S.

Another thing to note is that Wyeth does not actually list Trimeresurus as a species that the antivenom will treat. But even with that said, there are several species on the list whose venoms are not used specifically in the production of Wyeth Polyvalent (Lachesis mutus, Agkistrodon sp, Sistrurus )that it is effective against.

I was wondering why Meier & White listed Trimeresurus in their literature. Apparently it has been used and been found to be effective in Trimeresurus envenomation. I am not aware of any literature that covers this issue though. Is anyone ?
