It is often argued that if pet stores keep their animals in deplorable conditions, and people still buy them, they won't ever change their ways (and will probably get another shipment of the same animals, since they're selling).

Have you done a search for "toad care sheet" yet? The GENERAL requirements for Bufo species should be similar (I'm not a "toad person" myself).
