I'm looking for opinions referencing a specific species of tortoise. Must be small ( possibly under 12inches shell) and easy to care for such as feeding and caging etc. I have a young boy who loves turtles and I want to do the necessary research with him before I take him to a herp show. Please keep in mind this will be his first pet and I want to be able to work with him on caring and taking care of his tortoise. Thank you for your time in advance.
