Keeping a turtle captive and then releasing it can introduce all kinds of new illness and deseases that can take down a large number of wild turtles.
:She'll probley do great with it and I hope she continues to use this site, but I'm tired of turtle being taken out of the wild when theres plenty of captive breed turtles and turtles that need to be adopted all across the U.S.
I agree with a lot of that too. One thing I would like to know is links to some of the captive breeders. I see is as hard to find cb turtles, though I grant I haven't been avidly searching. Just not something you see a lot of around...at shows etc.
