:Also, the most simple and sure fire way to determine whether or not it's a stinkpot (It's not) is to look at the plastron. Musks plastrons do not cover the entire belly, rather they are cross shaped like a snappers while muds have a complete plastron which is hinged...
I have stinkpots and three striped muds and I'm certain that this turtle is a three stripe and not a stinkpot.
