predator safe?

I recently created an outdoor encloser for my snapper. The pond is enclosed by a 2ft tall mesh fence. I put the fence up initially to keep the turtle from escaping and to give him an area to walk around out of the water. I was wondering if I should do more to keep out predators? There are skunks and probably racoons in my area. The turtle has a 9" shell length. Any opinions?
