I've got a male western pond turtle in an outdoor pond that has appeared lethargic for a while and I noticed isn't eating. Upon further inspection, he has a spot on the bottom of his shell where the shell has peeled away and is very soft I'm not sure, but it may be exposed skin...in a there is also a strong odor at the spot as well.

Should I take him out of the pond (there are 5 other turtles in it) ??

I've got a vet appointment Friday morning (4/18) but is there anything I can do tonight???

Spray an antibacterial?? Temporarily patch the shell???

Please help
