Ok this is going to be a big investment if you don't have the equipment already. I'll list off what I bought for my hatchling so you can see if you really want to put forth this much time and money.
24" hood to hold two incandescents $22
Thermometer $4
Aquarium Submersible heater $21
Fluval filter $30-40??
T-Rex UV bulb $53
Zoo med hatchling turtle food $2
Aquatic Landing $7
Also don't forget the 20gal tank. Not sure how much that was. I think $50. You also run the risk of the little guy having Metabolic Bone Syndrome (sp?). This is what the vet said my little rescued hatchling had and why it died so soon. I learned this AFTER a few hundred dollars in bills.
If you don't want to take that risk and invest $200+, please don't release it into the wild. It'll most likely die. Instead give him to turtlehomes.org
