Hi,

My cuora flavomarginata females had bred with my Three Toe box male on the same night two weeks ago. I wonder if fertile eggs could be laid?

Jim

: I have seen or am aware of hybrids of the following species. Some were bred by me, some by my friends, and some I have seen pics of in books. I will try to list only those that I can verify and note as to the source.

: Trachemys scripta elegans X Trachemys ornata chichiriviche (bred by me)
: Graptemys oculifera X Graptemys nigrinoda (bred by friend)
: Ocadia sinensis X Chinemys nigricans (=kwangtungensis) (bred by friend)
: Mauremys mutica X Chinemys nigricans (=kwangtungensis) (bred by friend)
: Mauremys japonica X Chinemys nigricans (=kwangtungensis) (bred by friend)
: Ocadia sinensis X Heosemys grandis (bred by friend)
: Geochelone radiata X Geochelone carbonaria (from book)
: Geochelone sulcata X Geochelone pardalis (from book)

: I'm sure there are others, but these I have seen. It seems that the Asian Batagurids are particularly capable of jumping the lines of modern taxonomy. Perhaps we are just still very primitive in our understanding of taxonomic relationships.
: What other types of info were you wanting? Email me privately and we'll see what I can offer.

: Paul
