YES, the are the same species,Hyla. What you caught was Hyla Regilla (pacific treefrog). I have three in with my three greens and two greys. I've had them together for over 4 years. All is well in there terrarium. Keep them well fed and clean and you'll have no problems. Just DON'T let the pacific loose again after mixing it with the green. They may carry different bugs and bacterias that we don't want in the wild populations of pacs. You WILL get conflicting advice from so-called experts on this thread about mixing species, but my actual experience doesn't lie. Good luck
ps; mixing sub-species is much different than mixing species from different parts of the world.
