Hello all, here is a link to a pic of my Dendrobates ventrimaculatus vivarium. Though they are not ruly treefrogs, they are arboreal dart frogs. The vivarium is still incomplete at the moment, so I am open to any suggestions. Here are the vivarium specs:
Size: approx. 18 gallons
Lighting: Two 6500k screw-in compact fluorescents
Current Plants: Unknown bromeliad, draceana, java moss, unknown mossy fern (on logs), fittonia. I may add some philodendrons
Bottom : Gravel bottom
Planting mix: coco-fiber (eco-earth), peat, shredded sheet moss, sand, partially composted oak leaves, fir bark
Ground cover: Mossy fern (unsure on exact species), oak leaf litter
Future Occupants: 4 Dendrobates ventrimaculatus (from Mark Pepper)
Status: Incomplete
Feel free to come forward with any questions, comments, or suggestions. Thanks, and enjoy the pic.
Double J
