should i use the same method of having the tank set up for a couple months for an "entry level" frog like the green tree frog or whites? the comparing care sheets is a very good idea! thanks

:go to google.com and type in RED EYE CARE SHEET, read 3 care sheets and write down on some paper the basic humidity, tempurature, and care requirements for redeyes.
:The best thing you can do is set up the tank first to get it to perfection; maybe even take it apart and set it up 3 times again before putting anything in. If you can keep the humidity up and all the plants alive, then that is a good indication that you are ready to have a redeye. Start off slow and work your way up. I suggest you keep a terrerium going for at least 2 months before putting anything in it, that way you will be in the 'habit' of how it should be maintained.
:As for the genus Dendrobates, they are definately an expert's frog. Arrow frogs should only be kept by people that have successfuly kept vivariums and various herps for more than 3 years, they are extremely delicate and I suggest you wait. They need tiny food items and require precise temps and humidity and plants. If you are going to keep arrow frogs later on, start with something more on the hardy side such as tricolors.
