atb shedding probs

anyone else ever have an atb that just wont shed?
the humidity is high, he has a huge water bowl, i misted 3x daily from when his eyes glazed. and he just shed back to his eyes and quit and has made no effort to get it off in a week. i am getting pissed and am about ready to throw him out in the snow.
any suggestions?
