Please people be VERY aware that dry ice when combined with H20 be it cold or hot will create a off gassing in rapid expansion. This combined with a enclosed area or a lid securely fastened can and will cause a VIOLENT EXPLOSION this explosion will soley depend on the conatiner and amount of space and rigidity of the conatiner ex: lid screwed on or secured in some fashion
just posted this to save someone there eys and other limbs just incase they were to mis understand the meaning of adding water to Dry Ice
Just as a measurement guide here is what can be recreated with dry ice water and a enclosed space
20 oz drink bottle -generates the equal of 1/4 stick of dynomite in the blast concushion produced
2 liter drink bottle -generates enough force to embed the exploded plastic into your hands , arms and face casuing blindness or severe maming
the reaction time in which the dryice off gasses when combined with water in a enclosed space as stated above is less then 15 seconds although dryice is a humane way to off the rodents it can also be very INhumane to a human when used carelessly or wrong so please be sure to NEVER seal dryice off when in conatact with water of any kind and never fasten a lid over it it any fashion when water is used . thanks and dont take offense to this post if you are a avid user of dry ice i learned all these things of the capabilities of this asa 4th of july option as fire works that explode are illeagal in NC and dry ice is leagal and they cant arrest me for making HUGE BOOMS to ohhh and aweeee the neighbors ...
