It may not hurt to put him in a 10 gallon on its side and see how he does. You can also put deviders in the cage. But Daved, I dont mean to bash what you sead but, I keep my male 4 foot amazon in a 40 tall, and he does great. And does better then wood cages when it comes to humidity.
