Thinking of getting an Amazon

I have a few bci's and now I'm thinking of possibly getting an Amazon tree. I've researched the care of the snakes today and from what I've read, they seem to by quite snippy and aggressive.

I was just wondering how people take care of general maintainence things like cleaning their cage, changing their water or substrate, or even feeding them, give their tendency to snip at your hands?
