Good for you! I am so glad that you're taking your tortoise in now, rather
than after its already sick. It's important to establish a relationship with
the vet, like Brian said, rather than desperately trying to find one who feels
comfortable with herps and you feel comfortable with.
The vets at our zoo usually do a physical exam, fecal exam,
and blood test (especially for mycoplasma) as part of the initial
exam. Fecals might need to be repeated, based on results.
