Your tortoise will get more UV in a couple of minutes out in the sun than he will get all year under a UV bulb. Whatever you are doing as far as feeding, keep it up. Many who post here would love to have the minimal pyramiding on their torts that yours has.
:The funny thing is I have a great UV lamp and he gets to go outside for an hour at least twice a week, and that will increase once I go home in 9 days. I also give him plenty of Calcium and don't overfed. He loves mauzri and grasses. That's just what confuses me....
:I guess the UV lamp just isn't the same as natural sunlight.
