.....which is that light leopards put on all DARK growth when in my yard and in full sun.
Two very pale males that I got on breeding loan years ago were raised in Va. in a basement for much of the year. I got them and after quarintine they went out in the yard. After a year of South Florida sun (and breeding!) both males had nice thick bands of BLACK growth on them.
Also, very 'spotted' or marbled cherryhead redfoots get much darker in the sun I have found.
