Help! Found red foot!

Thank you all for the information. I had been thinking about getting a tortoise for quite a while now so I guess maybe things happen for a reason, lol. I also have two RES tutles. The other question I forgot to ask is how often and how much should he be eating? He seems to be full grown....guessing 14 inches. How old are they when they are that size? He is pretty outgoing, as far as he doest hide in his shell very often. With time will he get to the point that he will come to me for food and so forth?
