those photos do look great. i'm thinking about getting a pair or three. when i was in south america redfoots and other tortoises were a common food source for locals. restaurants served them as a delecacy to tourists and they were very inexpensive (under $3.00 us). they are farmed there by the thousands by many breeders. the place i visited was set up like a chicken farm with large free range pens. they fed them a high protein diet of what appeared to be cat food with veggies mixed in it. there was a lot of pyramiding but they seemed healthy. i know there are laws that protect the wild species in some places so maybe the vendor in the classifieds is getting his stock from one of these farms. if paper work was'nt such a nightmare, i could see where this importation might be very lucrative. if you get some of these redfoots please let us know how it turns out.
