:Sulcatas aren't mature until much larger (11 - 14"). Not sure exactly how old your tortoise is but I can tell you that it's not mature enough to mate yet.

Thanx for the info Paul. I know they need to be older before they will mate. I was just curious as to buying a younger one now. So that later on they could possibly breed. I like tortoises and would like a few more down the road. Any ideas on how to sex them even when they are young? Or is a vet the only way?
