I was at a breeder the other day and he mentioned the easiest way for him to sex the young prior to maturity was to basically push his hand into their face. the females will hide, and the males will charge out and not be intimidated. He had done this to several young and some retreated and others charged. the larger ones that appeard to be male or female from the concavity and tail were consistant. Is anyone familiar with this technique. Clearly large males are aggressive, but I question the pre-pubesent (i.e. before the hormones are kicking in) aggression.
