It's the white oval shaped thing in a birdcage, generally. For turtles, it's a source of calcium. You can buy it in bulk and feed chunks that can chew on or file/grate it for a powder. There is a trick to removing the back, but I don't have the details. Someone else on this forum will, I'm sure.
