: : *grin*
: : well, today I was taking advantage of my rarely home
: : roomate to gratuitously show off one of my leopards....
: : I took her out and showed her to him, then I leaned back on
: : the couch and sat her on my stomach. She was very
: : active and looked around for a minute, then promptly
: : PEEEEEEEEEEEEEED, and I mean PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEd.
: : I have never seen a turtle pee so much, not even our
: : 2+ pound female RES that is HUGE. it soaked my shirt and
: : was running down me, so I jumped up quickly (after grabbing
: : her of course) and started for the turtle room, trying to
: : make the pee stay on my clothes and not the floor or
: : furniture. I got to the door of the turtle room and
: : she peed AGAIN, like a squirt gun across the hall and
: : all over the floor. I swear, it had to be the entire volume
: : of her little shell!
: : I'm very impressed and have a new found respect for her
: : bladder. I've peed less than that volume myself.
: : WOW.
: : anyone ever try to figure out how much they can pee?
: : Anyway, I've gotta do laundry now....
: : (and the iguana pooped on her nice new towel basking area
: : in the living room... ARG, kids.... well, at least it's
: : not diapers.)
: : Later all
: : Oh, *grin* my brother jokingly asked what the admition
: : price was to my zoo. I talked him into bringing offerings
: : of greens when he visits to feed the ig and torts.
: : So much for don't feed the animals, eh?
: : later,
: : Nate
: My female russians do that. Not quite that volume but the aim and timing is amazing. No matter how I carry her she seems to get it down my leg and into my shoe! My other females go when I hold them but the males rarely do.
I have a hermanns tortoise that without fail will pee and/or poop when I take it out of it's tank. I don't think it does it out of fear because it waits about three minutes or more to do its duty, plus it seems happy to get out and crawl around anyways. This tortoise is 2 1/2 yrs.old, I think a male.
