I'd make sure the manure has been properly composted or it'll burn the bejeezes out of your lawn. I used fish emulsion (phew, what a stench!) and lime (water well after application), but it was only over a small area, and my neighbors weren't outside for a few days. It really does smell BAD for a couple of days. I must say that that area of the lawn is really nice and green now vs. the brownish green it was earlier. Blood meal is also supposed to be good, but I haven't tried it yet.

:Cow flops are safe LOL! I would recommend an organic manure fertilizer. YOu can probably get it at a landscape or garden center but any horse farm will let you pull up your pickup and scoop away for free :)
