I have been told that a TRUE travancore is extrememly rare. Travancores are often advertised when in reality they are forsteni. Forsteni and Elongateds can also be passed off as travancore or elongated or forsteni. Many of them closely resemble each other. I had bought a group of forsteni and then traded them away later to a gentlemen who swears up and down they are elongated. This coming from a man who has the premier collection of tortoises on the central coast of CA. I still think they were forsteni but he claims otherwise after getting an expert opinion using pics and such.
