Regarding types of Galops - you are into subspecies (or however you want to classify things these days). Of course, there is the discussion of the few Seychelles torts (not Aldabras), but that also is another issue on classification.

Travancores and elongatas are not rare (however, depending on how you classify elongata, forsteni, and Travancore torts - that is also another topic).

One of the main problems is there seems to be no single deciding body anymore for classifying herps (forget about the color morphs produced in captivity - all given names by the breeder).

The other tort classifcation problems come with Testudo (meds) regarding the existence of T. whitei (sp), etc.

Anyhow, I would still go with yniphora (besides they are really beautiful and most be saved).
