Sulcatas are herbivorous and do not need any animal protein in their diet. In fact, animal protein such as cat food can lead to excess and accelerated growth and metabolic problems...which will probably start with the first outward sign, pryamiding (lumpy shell). Tell your friend to cut out the cat food and feed a more natural diet of dark leafy greens, grasses and clovers. No peas, beans, legumes of any kind, broccoli, etc.
