Saci, I remember you on the TortoiseAid International mail list (onelist.com) asking about this a while ago. YOu should know by now that beans of any kind are really not good for the herbivorous tortoise as the protein content is high and leads to pyramiding. YOu should plant the enclosure with spineless opunia cactus, hibiscus plants, and a tortoise grazing mix. Annie Lancaster sells a tortoise graze mix that is pre-rationed with all the good varieties of grasses and clovers. The link to that sheet is below...
