redfoot and a surprise russian

well i came home and found a russian tort on my doorstep! (SERIOUSLY!!!!) Now, i don't have the time at the moment, or money to get a whole new enclosure set up and i can't get to the vet for aboout a week to get him a check up... is it okay to put a divider in my redfoots enclosure until i can make something more suitable? The redfoot has a 7" kiddy pool during the day and his nite time home is 4 feet by 2 feet. The russian is about 4" and the redfoot is about 2" So, being that they will only be indoors during bad weather and at nite, i don't think the 2 foot by 2 foot space would be too bad. they will be outdoors from 9 am until 10 or 11 at nite (it doesn't cool down until after then most nites) i will not allow them direct contact and they won't be on the same floor space at any time unless it is cleaned thoroughly before the next tortoise.
