Hi, I have a pair of Gilden Greeks, and have been noticing that the female is hostile toward the male. Feta (female) is biting Butterball(male) in the face, particularly when he tries to eat. He has not been harmed, and they have been watched closely, or separated when things get out of hand.
It would appear that a total separation is imminent, but I'm wondering if anyone else has seen this behavior with this species, and if anyone has had luck correcting it, or if males and females don't get along on an ongoing basis?
Butter is extremely placid and never bothers Feta. They bask and sleep together, but she pushes him around in a show of dominance on a regular basis. They have only been together for a few months.
Thanx in advance!
