Please keep in mind that Boris is only about 15 months old & 3" long. He's lived a pampered life compared to a lot of Russian tortoises out there. I got him in September & hibernated him for 6 weeks Dec.-Jan) in my refrigerator. After he woke up I moved him in with my Hermanns & Greek (which I later traded for a redfoot) & he became the life of the party. (All of you purists out there can save your sermons about not mixing species for some other time.)

Boris is growing like a weed & eats like a pig. I was real glad when he developed a taste for Mazuri tortoise chow & he gets that every couple of days.

BTW, that picture was taken while Boris & Molly were spending time in the tortoise corral in my front yard. They live in a pen on the front porch with a lockable lid to prevent someone from getting them. That's one of the perils of keeping tortoises in the inner-city!
