I will certainly be making some immediate changes. Her name is Sonja, and she is 5". I never would have imagined a reptile with so much personality. She will actually come to me when I call her name! I would love to get her a boyfriend but now I'm feeling not worthy of having any at all! I will definately have to get my act together before that happens.
: Well...
: I would say that (from seeing what you've been feeding it) yes, it is a deformity based on it's diet. You should NOT be feeding it broccoli or anything of the sort (bok choy, cabbage). These vegetables absorb calcium, therefore not allowing the Tortoise to absorb it (cuz the broccoli already took it all) Sounds dehydrated also... you should soak the tort in warm water about 3 times a week. Feed it things like Romaine Lettuce, endive, escarole, radicchio, dandelions... stuff like that. Don't feed it iceburg lettuce. What is the tort's age, sex, and name? :) Mine's name is Sampson, and I have no clue how old he is. They're great animals!
