I haven't kept redfoots myself, but I did visit on occasion with a guy who did. Their outdoor pen was basically identical to what he'd have for box turtles. They were MUCH more than 3 times the size of a box turtle though... maybe 3 times the length of a big boxie, but with all the width and doming and such, I'd guess that weight wise they are more than 10 times the size.

I don't know if you can argue about personalities, though... boxies are so highly variable in their personalities, I'm sure redfoots are too. It also depends on what you want, a natural setup with an animal you can view, or one that comes up to you and responds alot. If it's the later, i'd guess a redfoot would "foot" the bill better.
