[snip] That's a fact. When egyptians move they move with a mission. You have to see them during breeding. There's no stopping them.[snip]
As usual, right on the money! There's no substitute for experience.
-Bit of advice from one who's been there: now and in the future, watch him extra closely around this time of year. My guy went on the lamb for NINE DAYS this time last year, and definitely seems to be looking for a hole in the fence now. He's more settled the rest of the year, but late spring into early summer he seems ready to walk, swim or hitch-hike from New York back to the Mid-East. Shy he never is, but during this season he's especially "assertive."
About dandelions, the coolest thing I observe is when the yard's full of them (I encourage their growth, much to my "lawn-worshipper" friends chagrin) and the tort walks by, say, ten only to eat the eleventh. Then he'll bypass three more and eat the fourth and so on. It's like somebody choosing fruit at the market. What does he see? I'd love to know, they all look the same to me. He does the same with the other weed species he eats as well.
