He does seem to have trouble with his eyes and is constantly rubbing them so Im so thankful that you responded to my post to validate my concerns. Because he's so little, I only let him out when I can keep a good eye on him so the carpet seemed to be the best choice with he's indoors.

I thought about getting sand but I feared that the dust would be a problem as well as impaction if he ingested any of it. Im open at this point to any suggestions you or anyone else may have. Thanks again.
